Colossians chapter 3

Colossians 3:1: ^{A + B} Jabai nu miþurrisuþ Xristau, þoei iupa sind sokeiþ, þarei Xristus ist in taihswai gudis sitands.; — εἰ οὖν συνηγέρθητε τῷ χριστῷ, τὰ ἄνω ζητεῖτε, οὗ ὁ χριστός ἐστιν ἐν δεξιᾷ τοῦ θεοῦ καθήμενος:; — If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Colossians 3:2: ^{A + B} þaimei iupa sind fraþjaiþ, ni þaim þoei ana airþai sind.; — τὰ ἄνω φρονεῖτε, μὴ τὰ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς:; — Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
Colossians 3:3: ^{A + B} unte gadauþnodeduþ jah libains izwara gafulgina ist miþ Xristau in guda.; — ἀπεθάνετε γάρ, καὶ ἡ ζωὴ ὑμῶν κέκρυπται σὺν τῷ χριστῷ ἐν τῷ θεῷ.; — For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
Colossians 3:4: ^A þan Xristus swikunþs wairþiþ, libains izwara, þanuh jah jus bairhtai wairþiþ miþ imma in wulþau.; ^B þan Xristus swikunþs wairþiþ, libains izwara, þanuh jah jus bairhtai wairþiþ miþ imma in wulþau.; — ὅταν ὁ χριστὸς φανερωθῇ, ἡ ζωὴ ὑμῶν, τότε καὶ ὑμεῖς σὺν αὐτῷ φανερωθήσεσθε ἐν δόξῃ.; — When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
Colossians 3:5: ^A dauþeiþ nu liþuns izwarans, þans þaiei sind ana airþai, horinassau, unhrainein, winna, lustau ubilana jah faihugeiron, soei ist galiugagude skalkinassus;; ^B dauþeiþ nu liþuns izwarans, þans þaiei sind ana airþai, horinassu, unhrainein, winnon, lustu ubilana jah faihugeiron, sei ist galiugagude skalkinassus;; — νεκρώσατε οὖν τὰ μέλη τὰ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, πορνείαν, ἀκαθαρσίαν, πάθος, ἐπιθυμίαν κακήν, καὶ τὴν πλεονεξίαν ἥτις ἐστὶν εἰδωλολατρία,; — Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
Colossians 3:6: ^{A + B} þairh þoei qimiþ hatis gudis ana sunum ungalaubeinais,; — δι' ἃ ἔρχεται ἡ ὀργὴ τοῦ θεοῦ [ἐπὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς τῆς ἀπειθείας]:; — For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
Colossians 3:7: ^{A + B} in þaimei jah jus iddjeduþ simle, þan libaideduþ in þaim.; — ἐν οἷς καὶ ὑμεῖς περιεπατήσατέ ποτε ὅτε ἐζῆτε ἐν τούτοις.; — In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
Colossians 3:8: ^A iþ nu aflagjiþ jah jus þo alla, hatis, þwairhein, unselein, anaqiss, aglaitiwaurdein; us munþa izwaramma ni [ni] ....; ^B iþ nu aflagjiþ jah jus þo alla, hatis, þwairhein, unselein, anaqiss, aglaitiwaurdein; us munþa izwaramma ni usgaggai.; — νυνὶ δὲ ἀπόθεσθε καὶ ὑμεῖς τὰ πάντα, ὀργήν, θυμόν, κακίαν, βλασφημίαν, αἰσχρολογίαν ἐκ τοῦ στόματος ὑμῶν:; — But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
Colossians 3:9: ^B ni liugaiþ izwis misso, afslaupjandans izwis þana fairnjan mannan miþ tojam is,; — μὴ ψεύδεσθε εἰς ἀλλήλους, ἀπεκδυσάμενοι τὸν παλαιὸν ἄνθρωπον σὺν ταῖς πράξεσιν αὐτοῦ,; — Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
Colossians 3:10: ^B jah gahamoþ niujamma, þamma ananiwidin du ufkunþja bi frisahtai þis, saei gaskop ina;; — καὶ ἐνδυσάμενοι τὸν νέον τὸν ἀνακαινούμενον εἰς ἐπίγνωσιν κατ' εἰκόνα τοῦ κτίσαντος αὐτόν,; — And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
Colossians 3:11: ^B þarei nist Kreks jah Judaius, bimait jah faurafilli, barbarus jah Skwþus, skalks jah freis, ak alla jah in allaim Xristus.; — ὅπου οὐκ ἔνι ἕλλην καὶ ἰουδαῖος, περιτομὴ καὶ ἀκροβυστία, βάρβαρος, σκύθης, δοῦλος, ἐλεύθερος, ἀλλὰ [τὰ] πάντα καὶ ἐν πᾶσιν χριστός.; — Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
Colossians 3:12: ^B gahamoþ izwis nu swe gawalidai gudis, weihans jah walisans, brusts bleiþein<s>, [armahairtein], selein, haunein ahins, qairrein, usbeisnein.; — ἐνδύσασθε οὖν ὡς ἐκλεκτοὶ τοῦ θεοῦ, ἅγιοι καὶ ἠγαπημένοι, σπλάγχνα οἰκτιρμοῦ, χρηστότητα, ταπεινοφροσύνην, πραΰτητα, μακροθυμίαν,; — Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
Colossians 3:13: ^B þulandans izwis misso jah fragibandans silbans, jabai hvas wiþra hvana habai fairina; swaswe jah Xristus fragaf izwis, swa jah jus taujaiþ.; — ἀνεχόμενοι ἀλλήλων καὶ χαριζόμενοι ἑαυτοῖς ἐάν τις πρός τινα ἔχῃ μομφήν: καθὼς καὶ ὁ κύριος ἐχαρίσατο ὑμῖν οὕτως καὶ ὑμεῖς:; — Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
Colossians 3:14: ^B aþþan ufar alla <þo> friaþwa, sei ist gabindi ainamundiþos.; — ἐπὶ πᾶσιν δὲ τούτοις τὴν ἀγάπην, ὅ ἐστιν σύνδεσμος τῆς τελειότητος.; — And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
Colossians 3:15: ^B jah gawairþi gudis swignjai[þ] in hairtam izwaraim, in þammei jah laþodai wesuþ in ainamma leika, jah awiliudondans wairþaiþ.; — καὶ ἡ εἰρήνη τοῦ χριστοῦ βραβευέτω ἐν ταῖς καρδίαις ὑμῶν, εἰς ἣν καὶ ἐκλήθητε ἐν ἑνὶ σώματι: καὶ εὐχάριστοι γίνεσθε.; — And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
Colossians 3:16: ^B waurd Xristaus bauai in izwis gabigaba, in allai handugein jah frodein ahmeinai laisjandans jah talzjandans izwis silbans psalmom, hazeinim, saggwim ahmeinaim, in anstai siggwandans in hairtam izwaraim fraujin.; — ὁ λόγος τοῦ χριστοῦ ἐνοικείτω ἐν ὑμῖν πλουσίως, ἐν πάσῃ σοφίᾳ διδάσκοντες καὶ νουθετοῦντες ἑαυτοὺς ψαλμοῖς, ὕμνοις, ᾠδαῖς πνευματικαῖς ἐν [τῇ] χάριτι ᾄδοντες ἐν ταῖς καρδίαις ὑμῶν τῷ θεῷ:; — Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Colossians 3:17: ^B all þishvah þatei taujaiþ in waurda aiþþau in waurstwa, all in namin fraujins Iesuis, awiliudondans guda attin þairh ina.; — καὶ πᾶν ὅ τι ἐὰν ποιῆτε ἐν λόγῳ ἢ ἐν ἔργῳ, πάντα ἐν ὀνόματι κυρίου ἰησοῦ, εὐχαριστοῦντες τῷ θεῷ πατρὶ δι' αὐτοῦ.; — And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Colossians 3:18: ^B jus qinons, ufhausjaiþ wairam izwaraim, swe gaqimiþ in fraujin.; — αἱ γυναῖκες, ὑποτάσσεσθε τοῖς ἀνδράσιν, ὡς ἀνῆκεν ἐν κυρίῳ.; — Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
Colossians 3:19: ^B wairos, frijoþ qenins izwaros jah ni sijaiþ baitrai wiþra þos.; — οἱ ἄνδρες, ἀγαπᾶτε τὰς γυναῖκας καὶ μὴ πικραίνεσθε πρὸς αὐτάς.; — Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
Colossians 3:20: ^B barna, ufhausjaiþ fadreinam bi all; unte þata waila galeikaiþ ist in fraujin.; — τὰ τέκνα, ὑπακούετε τοῖς γονεῦσιν κατὰ πάντα, τοῦτο γὰρ εὐάρεστόν ἐστιν ἐν κυρίῳ.; — Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
Colossians 3:21: ^B jus attans, ni gramjaiþ barna izwara du þwairhein, ei ni wairþaina in unlustau.; — οἱ πατέρες, μὴ ἐρεθίζετε τὰ τέκνα ὑμῶν, ἵνα μὴ ἀθυμῶσιν.; — Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.
Colossians 3:22: ^B þewisa, ufhausjaiþ bi all <þaim bi> leika fraujam, ni in augam skalkinondans, swe mannam samjandans, ak in ainfalþein hairtins, ogandans guþ.; — οἱ δοῦλοι, ὑπακούετε κατὰ πάντα τοῖς κατὰ σάρκα κυρίοις, μὴ ἐν ὀφθαλμοδουλίᾳ ὡς ἀνθρωπάρεσκοι, ἀλλ' ἐν ἁπλότητι καρδίας, φοβούμενοι τὸν κύριον.; — Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God;
Colossians 3:23: ^B þishvah þatei taujaiþ, us saiwalai waurkjaiþ swe fraujin, ni mannam,; — ὃ ἐὰν ποιῆτε, ἐκ ψυχῆς ἐργάζεσθε, ὡς τῷ κυρίῳ καὶ οὐκ ἀνθρώποις,; — And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
Colossians 3:24: ^B witandans þatei af fraujin nimiþ andalauni arbjis; unte fraujin Xristau skalkinoþ.; — εἰδότες ὅτι ἀπὸ κυρίου ἀπολήμψεσθε τὴν ἀνταπόδοσιν τῆς κληρονομίας. τῷ κυρίῳ χριστῷ δουλεύετε:; — Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
Colossians 3:25: ^B sa auk skaþaila andnimiþ þatei skoþ, jah nist wiljahalþein at guda.; — ὁ γὰρ ἀδικῶν κομίσεται ὃ ἠδίκησεν, καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν προσωπολημψία.; — But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
