Corinthians II chapter 3

Corinthians II 3:1: ^A Duginnam aftra uns silbans anafilhan? aiþþau ibai þaurbum swe sumai anafilhis boko du izwis, aiþþau us izwis anafilhis?; ^B Duginnam aftra uns silbans anafilhan? aiþþau ibai þaurbum swe sumai anafilhis boko du izwis, aiþþau us izwis anafilhis?; — ἀρχόμεθα πάλιν ἑαυτοὺς συνιστάνειν; ἢ μὴ χρῄζομεν ὥς τινες συστατικῶν ἐπιστολῶν πρὸς ὑμᾶς ἢ ἐξ ὑμῶν;; — Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you?
Corinthians II 3:2: ^{A + B} aipistaule unsara jus sijuþ, gamelida in hairtam unsaraim, kunþa jah anakunnaida fram allaim mannam.; — ἡ ἐπιστολὴ ἡμῶν ὑμεῖς ἐστε, ἐγγεγραμμένη ἐν ταῖς καρδίαις ἡμῶν, γινωσκομένη καὶ ἀναγινωσκομένη ὑπὸ πάντων ἀνθρώπων:; — Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:
Corinthians II 3:3: ^A swikunþai þatei siuþ aipistaule Xristaus, andbahtida fram uns, inna gamelida ni swartiza, ak ahmin gudis libandins, ni in spildom staineinaim, ak in spildom hairtane leikeinaim.; ^B swikunþ þatei sijuþ aipistaule Xristaus, andbahtida fram uns, inna gamelida ni swartizla, ak ahmin gudis libandins, ni in spildom staineinaim, ak in spildom hairtane leikeinaim.; — φανερούμενοι ὅτι ἐστὲ ἐπιστολὴ χριστοῦ διακονηθεῖσα ὑφ' ἡμῶν, ἐγγεγραμμένη οὐ μέλανι ἀλλὰ πνεύματι θεοῦ ζῶντος, οὐκ ἐν πλαξὶν λιθίναις ἀλλ' ἐν πλαξὶν καρδίαις σαρκίναις.; — Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
Corinthians II 3:4: ^{A + B} aþþan trauain swaleika habam þairh Xristu du guda,; — πεποίθησιν δὲ τοιαύτην ἔχομεν διὰ τοῦ χριστοῦ πρὸς τὸν θεόν.; — And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:
Corinthians II 3:5: ^A ni þatei wairþai sijaima þagkjan hva af uns silbam, ak so wairþida unsara us guda ist,; ^B ni þatei wairþai sijaima þagkjan hva af uns silbam, swaswe af uns silbam, ak so wairþida unsara us guda ist,; — οὐχ ὅτι ἀφ' ἑαυτῶν ἱκανοί ἐσμεν λογίσασθαί τι ὡς ἐξ ἑαυτῶν, ἀλλ' ἡ ἱκανότης ἡμῶν ἐκ τοῦ θεοῦ,; — Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
Corinthians II 3:6: ^A izei jah wairþans brahta uns andbahtans niujaizos triggwos, ni bokos, ak ahmins; unte boka usqimiþ, iþ ahma gaqiujiþ.; ^B izei jah wairþans brahta uns andbahtans niujaizos triggwos, ni bokos, ak ahmins; unte boka usqimiþ, iþ ahma gaqiujiþ.; — ὃς καὶ ἱκάνωσεν ἡμᾶς διακόνους καινῆς διαθήκης, οὐ γράμματος ἀλλὰ πνεύματος: τὸ γὰρ γράμμα ἀποκτέννει, τὸ δὲ πνεῦμα ζῳοποιεῖ.; — Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
Corinthians II 3:7: ^A aþþan jabai andbahti dauþaus in gameleinim gafrisahtiþ in stainam warþ wulþag, swaei ni mahtedeina sunjus Israelis fairweitjan du wlita Mosezis in wulþaus wlitis is þis gataurnandins,; ^B aþþan jabai andbahti dauþaus in gameleinim gafrisahtiþ in stainam warþ wulþag, swaei ni mahte[de]deina sunjus Israelis fairweitjan du wlita Mosezis in wulþaus wlitis is þis gataurnandins,; — εἰ δὲ ἡ διακονία τοῦ θανάτου ἐν γράμμασιν ἐντετυπωμένη λίθοις ἐγενήθη ἐν δόξῃ, ὥστε μὴ δύνασθαι ἀτενίσαι τοὺς υἱοὺς ἰσραὴλ εἰς τὸ πρόσωπον μωϋσέως διὰ τὴν δόξαν τοῦ προσώπου αὐτοῦ τὴν καταργουμένην,; — But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:
Corinthians II 3:8: ^{A + B} hvaiwa nei mais andbahti ahmins wairþai in wulþau?; — πῶς οὐχὶ μᾶλλον ἡ διακονία τοῦ πνεύματος ἔσται ἐν δόξῃ;; — How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?
Corinthians II 3:9: ^A jabai auk andbahtja wargiþos wulþus, und filu mais ufarist andbahti garaihteins in wulþau.; ^B jabai auk andbahti wargiþos wulþus, und filu mais ufarist andbahti garaihteins us wulþau.; — εἰ γὰρ τῇ διακονίᾳ τῆς κατακρίσεως δόξα, πολλῷ μᾶλλον περισσεύει ἡ διακονία τῆς δικαιοσύνης δόξῃ.; — For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.
Corinthians II 3:10: ^{A + B} unte ni was wulþag þata wulþago in þizai halbai in ufarassaus wulþaus;; — καὶ γὰρ οὐ δεδόξασται τὸ δεδοξασμένον ἐν τούτῳ τῷ μέρει εἵνεκεν τῆς ὑπερβαλλούσης δόξης:; — For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.
Corinthians II 3:11: ^{A + B} jabai auk þata gataurnando þairh wulþu, und filu mais þata wisando in wulþau.; — εἰ γὰρ τὸ καταργούμενον διὰ δόξης, πολλῷ μᾶλλον τὸ μένον ἐν δόξῃ.; — For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.
Corinthians II 3:12: ^{A + B} habandans nu swaleika wen managaizos balþeins brukjaima,; — ἔχοντες οὖν τοιαύτην ἐλπίδα πολλῇ παρρησίᾳ χρώμεθα,; — Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
Corinthians II 3:13: ^A jan~ni swaswe Mosez lagida hulistr ana andawleizn, duþe ei ni fairweitidedeina sunjus Israelis in andi þis gataurnandins;; ^B jah ni swaswe Mosez lagida hulistr ana andawleizn, duþe ei ni fairweitidedeina sunjus Israelis in andi þis gataurnandins;; — καὶ οὐ καθάπερ μωϋσῆς ἐτίθει κάλυμμα ἐπὶ τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ, πρὸς τὸ μὴ ἀτενίσαι τοὺς υἱοὺς ἰσραὴλ εἰς τὸ τέλος τοῦ καταργουμένου.; — And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
Corinthians II 3:14: ^{A + B} ak afdaubnodedun fraþja ize, unte und hina dag þata samo hulistr in anakunnainai þizos fairnjons triggwos wisiþ unandhuliþ, unte in Xristau gatairada.; — ἀλλὰ ἐπωρώθη τὰ νοήματα αὐτῶν. ἄχρι γὰρ τῆς σήμερον ἡμέρας τὸ αὐτὸ κάλυμμα ἐπὶ τῇ ἀναγνώσει τῆς παλαιᾶς διαθήκης μένει μὴ ἀνακαλυπτόμενον, ὅτι ἐν χριστῷ καταργεῖται:; — But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
Corinthians II 3:15: ^{A + B} akei und hina dag miþþanei siggwada Moses, hulistr ligiþ ana hairtin ize.; — ἀλλ' ἕως σήμερον ἡνίκα ἂν ἀναγινώσκηται μωϋσῆς κάλυμμα ἐπὶ τὴν καρδίαν αὐτῶν κεῖται:; — But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
Corinthians II 3:16: ^{A + B} aþþan miþþanei gawandeiþ du fraujin, afnimada þata hulistr.; — ἡνίκα δὲ ἐὰν ἐπιστρέψῃ πρὸς κύριον, περιαιρεῖται τὸ κάλυμμα.; — Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.
Corinthians II 3:17: ^A aþþan frauja ahma ist; aþþan þarei ahma fraujins, þaruh freijhals ist.; ^B aþþan frauja ahma ist; aþþan þarei ahma fraujins, þaruh freihals ist.; — ὁ δὲ κύριος τὸ πνεῦμά ἐστιν: οὗ δὲ τὸ πνεῦμα κυρίου, ἐλευθερία.; — Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
Corinthians II 3:18: ^A aþþan weis allai andhulidamma andwairþja wulþu fraujins þairhsaihvandans, þo samon frisaht ingaleikonda af wulþau in wulþu, swaswe af fraujins ahmin.; ^B aþþan weis allai andhulidamma andwairþja wulþu fraujins þairhsaihvandans, þo samon frisaht ingaleikonda af wulþau in wulþau, swaswe af fraujins ahmin.; — ἡμεῖς δὲ πάντες ἀνακεκαλυμμένῳ προσώπῳ τὴν δόξαν κυρίου κατοπτριζόμενοι τὴν αὐτὴν εἰκόνα μεταμορφούμεθα ἀπὸ δόξης εἰς δόξαν, καθάπερ ἀπὸ κυρίου πνεύματος.; — But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
